I had my gallbladder removed on nov. 8th
and was realeased on the 9th. I am still
having a lot of pain and soreness all
through my abdomen. The incision right
under my navel got infected so i'm taking
antibiotics for that but I still feel so
horrible all of the time. I had been
taking percocet for pain so when I came
close to running out I called my surgeon
and he told me that he couldn't call a
prescription in to my pharmacy and that I
would have to come to his office to pick
them up or he could call in a prescription
for vicoden which he did. I would much
rather have gotten the percocet but since
it's such a long drive to the hospital and
I was feeling so bad I told him to just go
ahead and call in the vicoden. I've been
taking from 4 to 6 tabs a day but they
don't help my pain. I'm so sick of
hurting all of the time and not being able
to do hardly anything. I can't even wear
my jeans since they rub the infected
incision so i've been wearing a nightgown
since I went to the hospital. I'm
beginning to get really depressed as a
result of this.
has anyone else who has had gallbladder
surgery ever had pain and soreness that
lasted this long?
