Baby Shower Etiquette

I have several family members outside of my state that I know would like to know about m my baby shower and especially where I am registered. Is it ok to send them an invitation even though I know they can not attend? My mother and mother in law are throwing the shower but they want me to help with the guest list. What should I do?

I would say thats fine. If they don't get an invitation then they would feel shund, or atleast I would. It's their choice if they want to send you a gift or give you a give next time you see them.

Yes, I would send them an invitation with a little card about where you are registered. Even if they can't come they may mail you a gift card - or something like that. They would probably feel nice that you thought of them even though they're far away.
