Hi, my name is Íris almeida,
undergraduate finalist in psicologia
clínica at universidade lusófona de
humanidades e tecnologias de lisboa.
As final graduation assignment I have
chosen the origin and reason of
prolactinoma and their implicit emotional
and psychological effects.
Having a macroprolactinoma myself, I have
decided to ‘go further deep’ on a
study in which the origin of prolactinoma
is believed to be caused by ‘parental’
factors such as alcoholic, aggressive or
violent parents, absence on their own
children’s childhood and, at a lower
rate, by either husband’s or son’s
loss.
People with prolactinoma, are also thought
to be more aggressive, depressive,
‘hostility’ and anxious, in an overall
way.
In order to start off my investigation I
require the participation of prolactinoma
carriers.
I need to get the most of this kind of
individuals for my study, since a high
number of participants prove to be crucial
to form a reliable sample that can lead my
study to more accurate results.
Data collection will be undertaken under
anonymous participation, through a query
form comprised by questions of both tick
and quick answers, sent to participants by
email.
In this first stage, I am willing to know
who I may count with, in order to
determine whether or not this personal
project has credibility to move forward.
