I believe some of the side effects were
nausea and insomnia. Googling lexapro or
celexa which is in the family of lexapro
can bring up the main website...Think it
was something like www.Lexapro.Com or www.Celexa.Com
hope I helped!

bad stomach for a few days buts it is
easing off now I am curious to see what
happens when I take a higher dose nothing

I have been down alot lately but last week
I cracked and was crying all day and I
cant do that I have 2 kids I gotta look
after so I went to the drs and
cried........Couldnt stop
myself..........Awful feeling ,feeling
helpless almost!!! But I am feeling a
little better ...........You know we are
all different and sometimes set our selves
up for failure reading too much negative
stuff about taking meds.I did and was
scared to start anything......I dont want
to be on them forever but right now if it
gets me happy again and laughing and
enjoying life again then hell its worth it
:)
hope I helped a bit??
Take care!

Hi. I was on lexapro after my dad passed
and it really helped me get through. I
could function and concentrate better.
Of course I still cried and felt emotion
but it was better. After awhile I felt
that I didnt need to be on it anymore so I
went off. It was really easy to wean off
of.
I know that a coworker of mine was just
put on it and she said that she felt
better (she said that she is thinking more
clearly) within days. Neither of us have
had side effects. Good luck and just
remember that if you start to feel funny
you can take a lower dose or call your doc
to get the prescription changed.

I took lexapro for about a year, and found
it very effective. It took effect within
days, and I was a happy guy. The most
significant side effect was the sexual
dysfunction, which over time became
intolerable. However the tolerable
side-effects were nausea, insomnia, dry
mouth, slight loss of appetite, persistent
headaches, and some jitters.
Those effects were very distinct, and very
cumbersome, but overall the med improved
life dramatically. I had a sunny but
reasoned perspective on my life and the
world, and was upbeat. Sadly, the sexual
dysfunction (and I always thought this was
so ironic - cynical to think someone up
there decides there is no such thing as a
free lunch in life) was too much.
Good luck

I actally have printed the side effects
after looking them up: they all include
nausea, insomnia, sweating, fatigue,
headache, nervousness, axiety,
diarrhea, dry mouth, change in appitite
or weight (weight gain) decreased sex
drive, impotence, not everyone
experiences these side effects, I do get
nausea when taking these, so I take
meclizine so I wont get sick, thats the
only side effect I have, I do get
headaches once in a while.

Hi there. I have been on lexapro about a
month now. I was reading everyone else's
response saying how well it worked for
them. I havent really felt a change in my
mood. I am going through a divorce and so
im pretty down and out about it. I still
feel the same, I know they say it takes a
few weeks to really see a difference and
for it to get in your system, but I just
dont know. I have taken wellbutrin before
and I thought that it worked a lot better.
I also have horrible anxiety, so im
taking ativan for that. They may be
affecting the lexapro in some way. I have
noticed that it really helps decrease your
appetite though. The only other problem I
had with it was I would get really sleepy
after taking it for about the first week
or two.
Good luck with it. Hope it works well for
u.
