i had unprotected sex with a girl about 2
weeks (only once) ago and I have been
obsessing ever since. I am so worried im
going to have contracted hiv. About 2
days ago I felt my lymph nodes swollen
(below my belly botton and above my penis)
im really scared, is this a symptom? I
also was scared of contracting herpes. I
havent itched or seen really anything
except maybe an ingrown hair and I totally
freaked out. Would I know if I have
herpes already? Please help im really
scared and I feel my lifes on hold.
Thanks in advance guys

Swollen lymph nodes can be a symptom, but
hiv has no set symptoms and it reacts
differently in everyone. The symptoms
for hiv, however, would mostlikely not be
showing up this early, as they often sit
dormant for a while. If you are worried
about it, just go get tested for the
herpes, and then in 3 months (after the
neccessary waiting period) go get tested
for hiv. It will set your mind at ease.

Well replied. So the best advise is to
get tested. Swollen lymph though a
symptom of poor immunity to a virus,
cannot be only caused due to hiv. It
could also be a stress that causes a lymph
node to be swollen. Moreoever, studies
show that typical hiv infection causes the
lymph in the neck and back of ears to be
swollen.
Probably you would want to test yourself
against standard std's and later a check
for hiv to confirm your good health.

Go out and do something you enjoy; forget

as possible.
