Has anybody ever taken a baby on a plane when they are young? I am going to visit my brother in feb, who lives in ab, and I was wondering how you made out. With turbulance, discending, etc??

I am going to have to take sooo much big stuff, a playpen, his car seat, stroller, ...How much do they allow on the plane for one person? Hubby isn't going.

Urgh, my mom wants me to go see her in ab too but for me as much as the flying would annoy me (and I 'm closer than you-lol) the time difference would too since trey is not a good night sleeper

i'm not sure if the weight allowance is different if you are bringing a baby. I think the best bet would be to call them and find out. Good luck!!!!!

I would only bring the car seat on the plane with you, and maybe one of those carriers where you have it strapped like a backpack on you, but your baby is sitting in it (where they can face you or on your back). Of course have the diaper bag with you. Then with the stroller and playpen i'd pack into a large suitcase so you don't have to lug that on the plane with you.

As with taking a baby on the plane.. He might be a bit fussy, mostly when you are landing. Might be harder for his ears to pop. Best thing to bring would be childrens tylenol to ease his pain and give it to him about a half hour before you land (depending on how old he is).

Definitely call the airport to find out though to make sure what would be allowed.

Ok I flew alot with my son when he was little b/c my husband was in the military, you can check in a couple bags and playpen b/c your considered as 2 passengers, i'd recommend to check the stroller in plane side and i'd call the airport to see if your flight is booked if not go ahead and request a seat where no one else is sittin with you then you can take the carseat on with you and put them int he seat next to you if not then if you have one of those carseats that sits on the stroller i'd also check that in plane side so you can have both when you get to the airport...The baby tylenol is a good idea and take extra bottles onw ith you b/c babies tend to get thirsty in air and if your baby takes a pacifier keep that near for themt o suck taking off and landing and one last thing...Cotton put a little bit of cotten in your baby's ears and that helps the pressure to keep them from poping...If you need any more info i'm glad to help!!
