Identical or faternal?? My grandpa on
mom's side has a farternal twin sister??
I have had many dreams about having twins,
I would be thrilled...I am ttc and I was
just wondering which is more common??

I think fraternal are more common. There
were soooo many fraternal twins at my high
school and only....Two sets of identicals
in all the years I went there... Maybe
three.

From what i've read, fraternal twins run
in families and identical twins are by
chance. Of course, with fertility drugs
I don't know.

I believe it is fraternal as well.
Fraternal twins can be genetic, since
there have to be two eggs released.
Identical twins are not genetic because it
occurs when an egg is fertilized and then
splits, hence identical dna.
So, the only way it can be genetic is if
you have fraternal twins in your family
(the woman's side of the family).....
