Can You Have Sex the First Three Months? Posted: 12-15-03 01:08am
I am one month and a half pregnant, and I
had sex I want to know if it is normal to
bleed just a little bit.

Sure, it's ok to have intercourse during
the first 3 months. Might be a good idea
to ask your partner not to be too rough,
that's all. The slight bleeding you are
experiencing is quite normal, a small bump
to the cervix during sex can cause that,
but it should clear up within a couple of
hours after sex. I noticed the bleeding
stopped happening into the second
trimester. The only time you will need to
worry is if the bleeding gets heavy, like
a period, accompanied by abdominal pain
and severe lower back pain as these 3
things can be signs of a threatened
miscarriage. Enjoy your pregnancy,
