Pregnant....how Soon After Stopping the Pill??? Posted: 11-29-05 17:14pm
Hi everyone!
Wondering if any of you out there have
concieved failry quickly after stopping
the pill. I have been on the pill off and
on for 8 years. The last pill I took was
nov. 12...Started my period the next day.
My husband and I had sex last night
(11/29)...Apparently my fertile time.
But, I think because I have only been off
the pill for a few weeks, that it is
unlikely I would be pregnant so soon.
Anyone have a "after pill" pregnancy story
to tell. I would love to hear from you!

I have asked my doc about this.. I have
been on bc pills for about 5 years now.
He told me that it can take 1-3 months for
your body to actually start ovulating
again from stopping bc. It all depends on
the womans body. Could happen even
sooner! Good luck!

This is my 12th month off the pill and
we're still ttc. My doc said give your
body 10-12 months before all effects from
the pill are out of your body. But in
saying that it took my friend 3 months!

It depends on your body, cuz I got
pregnant on the pill and I got pregnant
two months after coming off it. So good
luck and have fun trying
I got off b/c pills in february and
conceived in march.....

Youngmom2two-did you miss a few pills and
that is why you became pregnant? Just

Nope never missed one. I started on them
at 11 and never missed one. I had to take
them cuz I was soo irregular when I
started my period. I was having 3 very
very heavy periods a month.

Omg! I cannot believe that you never
missed a pill and still got pregnant! I
guess you are that 1%. I missed 4 pills
in a row last month and freaked out a
bit..But got my period. Did you have your
baby or are you preg now?

son is 2 and a half and we don't have a
baby on the way and before you ask how old

Actually, I was not going to ask your
age...But thanks anyways! I appreciate
the info you have shared with me. I am
new to this site but am addicted to it
now. I am always searching on it like I
am going to find an answer! It is just
nice to hear others stories to see if you
can relate.
