Dr. Visit Posted: 12-16-03 04:44am
Hello ! I saw my doctor today, and I
went alone....So with no distractions the
doc had to listen to me. After seeing my
face ... He asked if i've ever had an
anti nuclear antibody test done,,,, I
didn't remind him that that was what I
thought i'd asked for the last time I was
in his office! And I asked him for a
syphilis test to be done as well ... He
asked me why I wanted that?? I explained
that I knew it could be a false positive,
in some cases of lupus. He kind of
mumbled to himself after that ! When I go
back i'll tackle the ruematologist
referral.. Well tomorrow i'll start using
my streiod cream again, altho the doctor
said it would eventually damage my skin!??
This I don't understand ?? With out it,
at times my face, and other areas can
become quite painful and itch, is there
something eles that could control the rash
other then a steroid cream? Well I just
wanted to let you know what is going on in
my search for the truth of my illness.
I'm really tired so I will go medicate
myself and see if I can get some rest,
hugs to all

You go, girl! Have you asked him anymore
specific questions?
You are the one that knows your body
best...Keep letting them know that
something *is not* right!
Reading your post this morning, by the
way, made me smile. And that is saying
something on a lupus day like today!
*sigh*
Hello everyone from sunny, windy and cold
myrtle beach. The hubby and I have been
here officially for six days...We arrived
on friday in the early afternoon and
unpacked a little saturn, a large trailer
and a large pickup truck. At the
apartment -- on the third floor mind you
-- and in storage. The dogs love it
here, esp the big spoiled girl. We've
been to the beach once so far dogs and i,
still looking for that perfect romping
ground.
Still settling in, taking it easy every
day though there's tons to do between
settin' up this place and then settin' up
this place for christmas and guests.
Phew. I'm going to take a nap now!
Clarebear
ps if I don't get back on this forum
before xmas then happy christmas and happy
new year!!!
