Ppl are telling this and that and i'm scared cause i'm at high risk for miscarriage cause I was bleeding. If anyone has gone through please give me some advice it's much need

I have never heard that smoking was a positive or good thing during pregnancy. I don't know why your doctor would have told you to keep it to 10 a day. I would try to stop for the baby.

I would just try to change the focus of my addiction -- like chew lots of gum instead of smoke. Or become obsessed with eating carrots.

Stay away from situations where there will be smoking -- you kind of have to be a hermit for a while to quit. I've never been pregnant, but I have quit smoking.

Good luck.

Trying cutting down first then giving up.
I managed to get down to about 5 a day for a month or so then stopped. Go for as long as possible in the morning aim for 9 o'clock then 10 and so on. Just work around what you can manage. When you want a ciggie wait half an hour (or even 15 minutes) then have it. I went insane when I tried to stop without cutting down I just couldn't do it even though I knew I was harming my baby. I also set myself the goal that I was going to be smokefree by the end of the first trimester (i managed to quit at 9wks) give it your best and we are all here if you need some support or motivation. Good luck

My hubby also smokes but just ask him to go outside if he don't already and walk away when he has a smoke so you don't have to see him or smell it, i'm sure he will be more than willing to help you give up. Also avoid anywhere like friends houses that smoke inside, pubs etc for the first few weeks so the temptation isn't there.
The first three days are the worst but once you know you can get through one day without ciggies you are so proud of yourself, and tell your family and friends that you are trying to give up so they can support you too.
You can do this.

Thats alright i'm always here if ya need to talk.
I went through the same thing with smoking, i'm now 19wks preg and still not smoking so I know where your coming from and how hard it is.
Even if you do start smoking again after the birth at least you know you gave your baby a good start to life.

I hope not, if I can get through the whole pregnancy without smoking I would like to think that I am strong enough not to pick them up again, that and we plan on having another child after this one so I know I will have to do it all again if I do start smoking. I was hard enough to give up the first time round. But I guess i'll have to see what happens and how well things go.

Extremely eHealthy
Good luck and do not beat yourself up for something you cannot control. Only god can give us help with our will power. But there are pple who are called "will worshippers" in the bible and they are the only ones who have "control of their own will "and in the bible those kind of pple are not good. I have quit smoking pot (with god's help), I have quit doing crank (with god's help), I have quit drinking alchohol(with god's help), I have quit being an angry and mean person(with god's help). Good luck to all who try and quit--and all who actually allow god to help them quit. Pray to him--that he change your will about cigarettes. He has to change our will--if we dont have control over it yet.
