I am 62 years old. Very conscientious
about diet and hygiene. I eat well, and I
brush and floss daily. From age 20 to age
59 I had almost no dental problems
whatsoever.
Three years ago, at 59, much to my
surprise I had two molars break. I had
both crowned, and with insurance my cost
was about $900 for both.
Within the last 8 weeks I had two more
broken molars. I went to the dentist this
week and was informed that both were
decayed, and both may need root canals,
rebuilding and crowns, and he placed a
temp filling on the worst of the two
broken teeth (mucho $). Also after seeing
the dentist, I had my teeth cleaned and
the hygienist found another spot on
another molar which the dentist will look
at my next visit.
I find this situation unacceptable from
both a cost and health standpoint, and I
am looking for an understanding and
solution to my situation. If anyone has
any suggestions or comments, I would
greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
