I Was Told I Was Having a Miscarraige....but
Posted: 11-30-05 00:43am

Last month I was told I was 1 month pregnant but I began to bleed with brown discharge..And have mild cramps. So dr gave me 2 ultrsounds...And saw no sign of a baby. I was told I needed blood work done..So I did it. Blood work came back possitive...But with very low hcg level I was told I needed 1 more blood test to see if my hcg level doubled like its supposed to. Well I got the results 4 days later because I waited 4 days to take the blood test. And the level of hcg count...Was more than half of the low number it already was. I was told I was having a miscarraige. Well over the next few days I bleed alot...Had severe cramping, and could barely breath....So I figured my natural miscarriage had taken place...Well all my pregnancy symptoms went a way...Well that was 2 weeks ago..And now... I have havent had sex or anything...And my symptons are returning...Well my breast sensetivity..And some neausia has returned...Im soooo confused...I took 2 clear blue pregnancy test 2 days apart..And both came back negative...So I dont know whats going on...Help please...

I know usually with miscarriages you have to get "cleaned out". Did you ever have that done? I don't know how far along a woman would have had to be when it comes to getting cleaned out.

It all could be your body returning to "normal". I'd get into the doc to make sure.

'not perfect' is very right. I had 3 miscarriages, the last one only last month and with each one, I had to have a d & c done to make sure that all of the baby/tissue was out of my body otheriwse it can caus a pretty bad infection.
Didn't your Dr. Do any of that for you? That wud seem pretty odd to me if he didn't.
Maybe you need to go back to him and ask a question and find out why.
My breast tingled and hurt even after the baby was gone. I guess your breast are the first things that usually react to pregnancy first, getting ready to make the mikl, so I guess it takes them a while to get back to what they were and you also have to remember that as far as your body is concerned, you had a baby, it is not aware of the fact that your baby has died, so technically your breast cud just be responding to that, waiitng for the baby to come and nurse.
I had alot of nausea too after, about a week or two after I lost my last baby, and I thot that I was pregnant again too {lol} hardly. But my body felt very much like it was.
Maybe it's just you rbody getting back to pre-pregnancy.
But you really need to make sure that you have a gud clean out though, becuz any tissue left back in there cud caus some serious problems.
Hang in there, and let us know.

I also just had a miscarriage... It's been 5 days now since it started... My blood test saturday showed a level of 11,000. Monday it was 1,000 and I have to go back friday. My ob told me to come in 2 to 3 weeks for a follow up. Apparently I don't need a d&c. First pregnancy, first miscarriage. 36 years old. I am still bloated up like a balloon and bleeding heavily. How long does it take for your body to go back to normal? The dr says I can't go to the gym for at least 1 to 2 weeks after bleeding stops.... Also, when can you start trying again?

I can take a little while for your body to get back to normal after a miscarriage. If dr doesn't do a d&c - don't be alarmed. Your body has natural ways to take care of itself. Sometimes fragments can be left behind & if that would happen, then a d&c would probably be done. I had a miscarriage this past may (i was 7 weeks) I had alot of ongoing cramping & bleeding. Finally one day I noticed that I had made it to 3pm without needing a nap. At that time I knew it was over. Dr's recommend waiting @ least 2-3 cycles before trying again.

Hi.... The dr told me they're looking for the number zero... If your at 28 then your almost done I would think. My bleeding and cramping has lightened considerably. I'm sure by friday i'll be close to zero. I would rather go through this now than later.... Wasn't meant to be. Hopefully better luck next time. I'm not god... Hopefully it's in his plan for me to have a child... Time will tell. Hope you feel better soon!

Well the time I was told my hcg was about a 28 was 2 weeks ago...So shouldnt I have gone down to 0? I mean ive felt fine until the past few days...Than today ive had cramping....I called the Dr..And they didnt really tell me anything...They said to wait it out.... :( and I was think that they neausia and tiredness could be comeing from the flu I just got over....But has this ever happened to anyone...I guess I spend alot of time on here posting because im only 18 and I wasnt tryin to concieve...I was in an abusive relationship and I dont wanna say I was raped....But I didnt have another choice...This is the 2 time I have ever had sex...And I have no one to talk about it with... I told my ex...But he said that this is what I deserved since I chose to break up with him....So I have no support..And no help...

Bad Situation

I would stay away from him.. Don't call him. That doesn't sound like a healthy environment to raise a child. Any man puts his hands on you against your will is unacceptable. If your going to be sexually active maybe you could look into birth control? Having a child is a huge responsibility. I was raised by 2 loving parents who worked very hard to support my brother and i. I am grateful for the upbringing that I had... Hopefully someday I will be able to raise a child of my own with the same strong values and morals my parents instilled with me. I wish you luck and I hope you make the right decision. As far as the cramping... I'm sure it's going to take our bodies a few weeks to get back to normal. Ask the nurse what you have to expect. Good luck... Best wishes.

well, I bled for like two weeks after I had my miscarriages and my Dr. Told me that I had to wait for my first period after my miscarriage to go to the gym, so I myself am still waiting as I lost my baby in october and my period hasn't come back as yet. My bleeding was pretty heavy for the first 3 to five days and then it just sorta tapered off into this brownish discharge that become very annoying becuz you just want it to stop!!!
I think that every woman's body just reacts differently to stuff.
But it will take your body a while to get back to normal, with me I wanted to rush it, just so that I wudn't have any reminders from my body that I was ever pregnant. But after 3 miscarriages, I have learn to adjust to alot and I still look big, myself, but just try to eat properly and take things from there until you can get back to the gym okay>

i have to admit that only with my last miscarriage in october this year did I still have the sore breast and the naseua. But I put that down to the fact that I had been so far a long and so my body was just adjusting to it's pre-pregnancy state. I suppose that yours will too soon enuff. It mite just taje some time, but it will get there.
My biggest mistake was trying to rush it becuz that only made it worse, and having a strong support group of family and friends helped me along the way and before I knew it it was all over, and my body was practically back to normal, whatever that is after you've either had a baby or a miscarriage
the only thing is that I have always had very small breast and now I have gone up a cup size with no sign in site of them going back to a 34b. Oh well, I guess my fiance isn't complaining so why shud I

Sad I am 22 and already a mother of a 15 month old boy. But I just found out that I have just had my second miscarriage. I lost the 1st one in jan. I am soooo upset I can hardly pull myself out of bed. The 1st time I had a d/c but this time they let me go through it. Which is alot harder. I just dont know when the pain will stop mentally and physically. I also have found out that I have a cyst on my cervix. So there is another slap in the face. With my first miscarriage I wrote in a journal everyday until I felt a little better and the hospital gave me a little fleece blanket as a memory of the baby. But this time the journal idea is not workin all I can write is stuff like god I am so sad. And then I am exhausted. Any suggestions to help?

Im So Sorry to Hear
Posted: 10-17-06 23:34pm

Im really sorry to hear about your loss. Back in april I lost my first baby! I was 10 weeks but the baby showed 6 weeks. Unfortunately I had major cramping before for a week and after for a week. Two weeks of bleeding and slight cramping occured after the miscarriage.. I was told its normal. If you continue to go through a pad every 1 for 10 days go have a doctor take a look.. You may need to be completely cleaned out. D n c. Most likely your body will take care of it! Im really sorry that you are going through this.. Its going to be a lot but I hope the best for your furture
