I am so happy that I am not alone in this matter, I feel very self concious of this problem and I feel that everyone can smell it too, I go a step further because I have this smell coming from my areolas, vagina and armpits, I am disgusted by myself and have tried baby wipes every time I use the bathroom and more deodorant but nothing seems to help. It has been going on for about 3 years now and it has caused me to be self concious during sex. My husband is a good sport and does not say anything about it but I could smell it on his breath after we were intimate and I am even more disgusted. I have had several yeast infections, the same thick white discharge that coats the penis (sometimes), bladder infections and everytime I see my doctor the smell is not present and she says a smell is normal, I failed to describe that smell but I will when I visit her on Friday and I will post what she says. This thing is taking over my life can anyone help, and can you please tell me it Botisol works.

Ok so I went to PlannedParenthood for a Gyn visit because I felt like I had a YI. She told me I was right! So she presribed me a 3 day dosage of terazol they looked like eggs. About a month later I am starting to have this onion-like odor.... Truthfully Im scared cause I dont know what this is and I am a virgin.

vaginal onion smell

My situation is exactly like the previous post. I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. After taking the prescribed antibiotic medication, I have still having the same symptoms. I have an appointment to get retested tomorrow. I hope it's not serious.

Have any of you had cysts? My ob did say she saw a cyst, but she also said not worry and they are normal.

vaginal onion/garlic odor

Hello,

OMG! I finally found out what the problem is. It's two different infections, bacterial vaginosis (bv) and a bladder infection. On May 1st, I was diagnosed just a plain bv. After taking the meds, I still had the clumpy sticky discharge during sex as well as the onion smell. I went back to planned parenthood today, only I was examined by another nurse practioner. She apparently has more experience and compassion, for that matter, than the other lady that examined me. She explained that the ph levels combined with sperm and bacteria build up can cause this. She prescribed cipro and phenazopyrid for the bladder infection and metronidazol gel for the bv. She also prescribed the metro.... tablets. She instructed me to take one tablet per month just before my cycle to kill any bacterial build up. Apparently some woman go through this more than others.

I hope this helps.

I hope the meds clear up everything. I'll post again in a few weeks.

but unfortunately it was discontinued by manufacturer for unknown reason. Now I am back to showering 4,5 times a day Sad also, ladies if you have repeating yeast problems try candida cleanse. it will stop the cycle of yeast attacks (extreme tiredness, breaking out, sugar craving, yeast infection, bloating, weight gain, depression...) i suffered all these symptoms for almost 20years but was always told by doctors that i was medically find and it's most likely "all in my head"!!!??? i use candida quick cleanse made by zand. you can get em from gnc for almost $50 or for under $20 from vitacost.com.
