My Husband Is Impotent Posted: 11-30-05 12:44pm
My husband has recently became impotent.
I am so shocked that this has happened to
us. I really don't know what to do. We
have a really big age difference between
us. He thinks that I will leave him
because of this, but I keep telling him
that our marriage is more than just sex,
even though sex is very big part of our
marriage. We want to have more children.
Does being impotent mean that he can no
longer produce children? I just don't
know what to do. :?

No, it does not mean you can't have
children. It's a functional problem - not
a sperm problem. I would suggest talking
to your doctor. There are many solutions
to this problem. First off, is it
psychological or physical? Has he been
tested gor diabetes? Is he older? If
it's physical, viagra would probably do
the trick. If it is psychological (like
anxiety, stress) counselling could help.
Figure out what the nature of the
impotence is, and talk to your doc. I
would confidently say you could get him
back "up" and running.
Good luck!

My Boyfriend Is Impotent As Well! Posted: 02-22-06 21:38pm
Wow, it sounds like my story is exactly as
yours. Me and my partner also have a big
age difference. I'm 25 years old and he
is 49. I've even had people say that he
is old enough to be my father and it's
true. My dad is 2 years younger than him,
but after two failed relationships with
young guys I didn't care anymore. In fact
what hurts the most is that we just
started our relationship and I have not
yet had the chance to know what making
love to him feels like. I feel like i'm
dying here, because my attraction to him
at this point is so strong. I want to be
able to express my love for him sexually
and at this point is impossible. I have a
feeling that he has something wrong with
his prostate because he tried the highest
dosage of viagra and nothing happened and
he had told me that when he was in prison
he got stabbed in that area but so far is
only taking a pill in order to not leak
urine. I've told him to see a doctor, but
he doesn't have another appointment until
almost the end of next month. I hate
waiting and I have a feeling that if he
needs surgery, the wait will be even
longer. I really need support right now.
To make matters worse, we both suffer from
mental issues and so I can't even please
myself by getting an orgasm. We actually
met in the hospital and got to know each
other there, so we are both on
anti-depressants and other mood
stabilizing drugs, but when I read the
info about viagra, it indicated there that
it should take way the side effects of
impotence when you wish to have sex, so I
know that although that may be part of a
factor, it's not what is really wrong. He
has other medical problems but none of
them (from what I read) affect your
sexuality. Please help!
