I posted other day about having braxton hicks and I talked to dr and he agreed with other people who said it could possibly be dehydration so he asked me how much I drink (fluids) ad day and I told him 6 cups. Anyways this is day 3 of contractions and yesterday I had them three times for an hour to an hour and a half, I would sit down and relax and I even went for a walk nothings helping...

I tried drinking more fluids and only went pee like 400 times lol honestly im going 2-6 times an hour, I never had this with elisa and im completly weirded out....

I know everyone gets braxton hicks when prego but they are getting really painful, I feel them wrapping around making back pain worse and down my legs just need to know if this is somewhat norm... I already talked to dr he didnt do a internal exam didnt see a point since I had no bleeding but should I push for it or what should I do???

Been There
I am 38 wks right now but I started having b/h when I was about 25 or so. I didn't have like any with my first and with this one they where all of the time. When I was 30 wks I went to the hospital b/c they were giving me horrible back pain and coming about every 8-10 min. My doc said if I have 6 or more in an hour get my booty to the hospital. Did that they did nothing. Drink more water is what they said. I swear if I drink more water I am going to float out of my body. I think it is just normal to have all the extra pain with the second.

My doc said that most woman with their second notice more contractions b/c their bodies have done this before and they just naturally are more loose now. So I would say that unless you are having major contractions that just don't let up and you have any unusual discharge, try your best to go on with your day. I know it is uncomfortable but think of it this way it should be a lot easier to get this one out than last time. ;)

good luck to you. . . I hope I helped a little

Jess,

i never had bh but I think you should sit back and relax. Ask someone to watch elisa for you for a bit and just sit and do nothing and see if they'll stop.
