Period...but Could Still Be Pregnant?
Posted: 12-01-05 09:29am

Okay,i've been getting my period,sometimes late,sometimes early,but it's been spotting,and even sometimes a heavy flow...But I think i'm pregnant.I have all the symptoms,and I even believe so that i'm getting bigger because of pregnancy and i've been showing.But still a period,and I know it's possible.What do you all think?

Have you taken a test? How many "periods" have you had since having sex last? Hope things turn out the way you want them.

I"m having the exact same problem.Implantation bleeding varies from woman to woman.Let's keep our fingers crossed. This period for me that i'm on now was late and I have all the symptoms too.

When did you have unprotected sex? And when did your periods start to get wacky? If you are far along enough to the point where you are showing..If you took a pregnancy test and were pregnant it would def come out positive..So...I would test! Good luck

How long have you suspected you were preg? Have you taken a hpt? Lots of people say they have spotting, and assume its there period...So I guess it must be pretty heavy for them to think its a normal period....I don't really know what to say though, i've never been preg...So I can't really help you...But like all the others have said, take a preg test to find out for sure 8-] best of luck
ps: were you trying to get preg? Because i've heard of people convincing themsleves they were preg because they wanted a baby so bad...They start to look preg and think they've got all the symptoms..But its in there head..
Best of luck again

It's definitely possible. I was talking to my gram and she told me with her last baby she had periods up until she was five months pregnant. She said that the were different that normal but periods all the same. So, the pregnancy test is the only way to find out.

Well..Really u should wait like 19 days after u think u conceived. My test came back negative. At least it could be a negative because all the anxiety lead me to test early. My doctor was still convinced.I told her that I didn;t think so because this period was kind of heavy. She told me that implantation bleeding varies from person to person which is why most women give up or don't believe they're pregnant when they actually are.I have to really get a digital test and wait a little while longer. It's only been exactly 2 weeks since I think I conceived and I took the test like 3 days ago.I was supposed to wait until the day after christmas since my periods were irregular. But good luck.

Mississippi, was your test negative last time you tested??? Probably just early...Would you test 19days after ovulation or 19 days after implantation bleeding??? How heavy was heavy? Like was it multiple days or just one? Sorry, I 'm just really curious...8-]

I assume it was negative.I really couldn't tell.I had people to look at it and I had a faint line...I mean very faint. It could have been an evaporation line. It's 19 days after you think you conceived.Mine started off heavy...But the doctor says it varies. It ended last night. That makes it...2 or 3 days.My period goes at least 4 or 5 days.My doctor told me I could test while I was bleeding. But I should go back and get a second opinion I guess. She told me to re-schedule if my breasts got sore or tingly. They just feel heavy and sometimes it feels like someone is pulling my nipples. But again..That's not all the time.So i'm waiting until next week to test again because the lateness has me curious.I know I had a friend that had periods 2 straight months and didn't know.

Confused As Well
Posted: 12-22-05 12:02pm

I have been having the same thing. For the last two weeks I have been really sick and had all of the symptoms. I took 5 hpt! First one was a faint positive and the rest are all negative. Yesterday was the day of my period and it didnt start. All I had was the weird brownish red stuff. Then this morning I started bleeding. So im really confused also. I am getting a blood test this afternoon. I really hope I am pregnant, no im just worried because my period started. At least I will get the results by friday. Im crossing my fingers.

I wish u luck and I hope I have the same luck as well.Just to let you know..There are actually more false negatives than positives. So keep your head up and your fingers crossed.I'm doing the same as well because the bleeding has stopped but my nipples are still sore.So I hope we all are blessed. Please keep me posted.
