Sleep Problems
Posted: 12-02-05 12:40pm

I don't know... Ever since I got my new boyfriend, my sleeping habits have gone down the drain. We started to go out in april, and every night, he would call me around 10 and we would talk on the phone for hours, and I would only get a few hours of sleep as a result. Now, we dont really talk on the phone as much, but he happens to call me at like 12 or 1 in the morning, right before he goes to bed, which wakes me up. I'll go to bed at around 9:30... And once he calls, its all over and I cant get back to sleep for love nor dust. I cat nap during the day, but lately it has been getting progressivly worse and I cant take it. I am always in a bad mood because of the lack of sleep, and when I take a nap during the day, it can last for hours and no one can wake me up. As for getting out there and excersing, I wish I could. Another side effect of this sleep deprovation has been weight gain. I've put on 12 lbs in the last 2 months. And now I am uncomfortable. I've tried everything: warm milk before bed, a warm bath, listening to music, not eating, eating, counting sheep, not excersing, exceresing, and nothing works. Its really driving me insane. And I really wish I wouldnt feel this way. Anyone have any advice to help me get to sleep? Thanks

Tell Him

Hi there,
argh new love is great but this would happen to me when I was dating my now husband, you see cause of the time difference when I lived in the uk and he is in the usa he would call late , it would be early hours my time as the time was 5 hours ahead there, and I would wake up so tired ! Though I was happy to talk to him ....

Maybe you need to ask him to call a bit earlier before you go to bed? Then you ll get to talk but wont be tired out? I know its hard but you gotta say something and figure out a better time to talk........

How about text messsages instead then you can not be hold on the phone too long? .......

Sleep deprevation isnt fun and if your not careful can make you grumpy and no fun to be around......So get some sleep and talk to your boyfriend how the late talks affecting your days...If he cares for you he will understand :)

good luck........
