It's not vain to be worried about that. Are you pregnant? How far along? I went my whole pregnancy without getting any ut one small one on my side, but after I had my little guy more showed up. They're not horrible but I was soo mad!! Everytime I would get outta the shower I would rub the palmers coca lotion all over my belly and thighs.

Hi!
Hi...I have a 8 month old baby boy. When I delivered he weighed 9lbs 10 oz at birth. I was massive in size.
My prepregnancy size was 1-3, and I didn't get any stretch marks anywhere. I think it depends on the person, and the elasticity of the skin. However, I did use cream by the bucket fulls everyday when getting out of the shower. You could try that, but there is no proof that cream prevents or helps stretch marks.
If you do get them they will fade in time. Nothing that a good tan won't help.

Every pregnancy symptom is different for everyone and that even includes strecth marks. Some lucky, lucky women do not get them. Others, however do get them. It's genetics. If you are meant to get them, you will. You can lower the amount by using cremes, and lotions. Natural cocoa butter and shea butter are said to be really good. And extra virgin olive oil. They say that it is good for you and here is another use for it.

When I was pregnant I got stretch mark pretty badly. I had too much fluid and I looked like I was having 5 babies. Ive heard it's heretitery but my mom never had any. I also read online that you get stretch marks when you gain weight fast. That makes sence for me because thats what I did. But I was always told to put coco butter cream on and even vasaline.
Good luck :)

Ok if your pregnant for me with my first son I got them, before my body was perfect and went through ppd when I got them I hated myself but my tummy was itching like crazy and I would scratch it but I think if ur stomach gets fat and u scratch them they will come but if be careful about what u eat and put ur creme on they will fade or won't come at all everyone is different.

I got most of my stretch marks with my first son, first one's at 1 1/2 months.
They do not go away--i have them terrible all the way to my ribcage.
Tanning and time does help the color of them though.
I guess it depends on how bad you get them.

Yes, lil_blaze --brianbaby said she didnt get them until after too. I wonder if it was from the labor and all the stretching you go thru when having the baby. I have never heard of getting them after the baby born. Interesting, learn something new everyday.--

i reall dont think genetics has much to do with it. I am twenty and I am pregnant with my first and I have used tons of the plamers coco better and guess what. I have tons of stretch marks. My mom who has had two children did not use any lotions at all and has no marks at all except the one where she had to have a c-secton. So I think its a curse, everyone told me to just use lotion, and the lotion did not help. So now I will never were a two peiece again. Or my belly ring. I am ruined. So good luck to all who are pregnant and I really hope your luck is better than mine, and its not a bad thing to worry about this stuff, we are young, and we will only have these bodies for a little while before we are old,. So we have to keep them nice and enjoy them right!

This is about how bad mine are, with the use of lotion. And they are on my back and butt. And since I have got pregnant my arms have got bigger so I have a few marks there. And the calfs of my legs. My husband has a friend in fl and she has had two babies, when she first got her marks 5 years ago, they were really bad, but I saw her the other day and they looked better a lot better

i dont think of them as a curse at all, I feel it is an outward sign of how much my children really mean to "me."
my mom did have them too, just like mine, but my sister on the otherhand--the skinny one--i dont think she has them so much.
I have found more times than not--skinny women dont get them as bad.

I am not an overweight person, I would consider myself thick, but all of my cousins who are size 0-3 have not got any strecth marks at all, but me and my other consin who are like not over weight but size 12 we all got stretch marks. And as for it being a curse, I love my son, more than anyting in this world, but I did not need strecth marks to remind me of that

Yes I was thick but far from fat when I got preg the first time.
I was 19 years old.
I weighed 160 pre pregnant and 178 the day I gave birth.
This pregnancy I weighed 180--not holding it as well as when younger either
dont know how much I weigh now
i am almost 24 weeks, with twins
