I had a baby october 11, and I bled for 5 weeks after delivery. I breastfed for about the first month and am still getting milk. How long should I go before I get a period?

It all depends on how you are breastfeeding. If you do it constantly, and they baby is on your breast then you may not even get a period until you stop breastfeeding. My sister breastfed, but she also gave my nephew formula, and pumped her breast. She got her period monthly. But I knew of one woman that breastfed for months and did not get her period until she stopped. Nancy
