Can You Get Pregnant......... Posted: 12-07-05 12:08pm
I am a single momma that is almost 27 yrs
old and have a 5 yr :) old..........I
have not had a period in over a year
(which is not unusual)..........If I am on
the pill I have a normal but very painful
period so I just choose not to be on the
pill....But my question is
........................
Can I get pregnant even though I do not
have a period?????? I know this seems
like a really silly question............
Can anybody help me??????? :?:

I always though the answer was no but I
have a 4yr old and 18mth old. After my
1st son was born I decided to go on the
pill, these ended up making me feel really
depressed so I stopped taking them after
about 5mths. My periods then just stopped
and my doctor was just no help at all he
just told me there was no point using any
other birth control because without
periods I couldnt have any babies anyway!!
I was only 21 and was really scared I
couldnt have anymore children, then when
my son just turned 2 I started getting all
the symtoms of being pregnant. Deep down
I knew I couldnt be but I just thought I
better check, the result was positive. I
will never forget my doctors face when it
was confirmed no1 had a answer as to how
it happened but I must have just ovulated
after 2yrs! My periods returned back to
normal after I gave birth and I must have
been one of the most happiest women on
earth just to get a period! So me and my
baby are proof that it can happen if I was
you though I would definatly go see a
doctor and talk over my problems I just
hope you have a more understanding one
than me! Good luck
