Whom Gave Me Warts?
Posted: 12-07-05 20:22pm

Hi, I recently contracted genital warts much to my dissmay as I was previously disease free.
I'm pretty sure my previous girlfriend gave it to me however i'm not completely sure.

My first relationship lasted for 8 years and ended about a year and a half ago.
About 5 years ago I had an affair (only once) with another women.
I started sleeping with a girl about 8 months ago (we just broke up a week ago), 2 months ago I developed lumps on my penis, I went to the doctors a few days ago and he said they are warts and I have to use some cream to get rid of them.

Is it possible for the warts to have been dormant in my system since my affair 5 years ago?

I'm not 100% sure if the warts virus can lie dormant for 5 yrs, but they can lie dormant for a while. I certainly know that it can be really difficult when trying to find out as to whom u contracted them from. (whether u sleep around or not). I am sure however that the person who gave them to you will av had an outbreak of warts. All in all, as long as they r now gone, don't worry urself too much as to who u caught them from. I had an outbreak about 6 months ago, but it had been 5 months previous when I had unprotected sex. So for all I know, I had contracted them before this time. Maybe not much help, but try not to worry about it now.
