For the last month just after the week of my menstruation, I had an uprotected sex with my boyfriend. I remembered about provera which a friend told me about as a day after pill so I took 2 within 24 hrs. And another 1 the next day, I did the same thing after another unprotected intercourse. I will be expecting my period on the 15th/16th and today is the 8th of december. Does provera work as an emergency pill? Im really scared of getting pregnant for the fact that I am still a studying and I dont want to undergo the physical and mental pain of abortion if ever. Please help me asap...

Hi
I never new that provera was a morning and after pill, I take provera because my doctor prscribe it for me because I have irregular periods, and I have a thyriod problem as well, but I never new about provera being morning or after, maybe you ought to ask your doctor about that, and as for having a miscarriage its very dangerous and excrusating pain to have one , then you would have to go the er room, if you think you are pregnant go see your doctor, and you sure dont want to have an abortion, that will be with you the rest of your life, and the way the abort a baby now is terrible to watch. Hope this helps you good luck to you on your decision , merry christmas, :d

Provera?? As in depo-provera?? Is it not a shot? It was when I took it. Did you take a morning after pill or ??? I'm confused as to what you took and how you got it.

No, I think "provera" is a birth control pill. But your friend told you an urban legend. The story that like in the 70's and 80's when the ecp wasn't available (still isn't some places) you could just take normal birth control as an ecp, but it doesn't work like that. It's just a story.

It doesn't matter how prominent your family is unless you're in a big city, really. I live in a town of 25k population and in a few of the prominent families here the girls are really slutty (they would make you and this situation look like a nun taking her vows) and everybody knows it but nobody cares. One girl's dad actually chaperoned homecoming and watched as his little girl was grinding with a *group* of guys around here, her skirt was up to her boobs and she looked like she was getting gang banged. But the next day, nobody said anything because nobody cared, it was old news that she was slutty.

Hey
How old are you greeny? If you dont want this baby then the only thing to do is abortion, the only time is when you can get the morning and after pill is when your really early in pregnancy, but if you dont believe in abortion, then this babies yours and its coming wether you dont want it or not, you cant stop it, unless you abort it. So I wish you I could help you more... Good luck to you. God bless you. From hotty

There's always open adoption. You can still visit the child and have updates or whatever, but you'd be like the family friend, maybe an aunt or a cousin, something like that.

I wish my sister had done that. You'd be giving your child a better life than you could give to it, but you'd still be able to see how well the child is doing. Then when the kid is "of age" (whatever the adoptive parents choose) they will probably tell him/her that you are their biological mother.

I don't even remember where it came from but I love the quote, "it's easier for me to kill you than to wave goodbye." because it sort of simplifies the way I see things. I hope i'm not too pushy about this.

Provera is not a morning after pill. It will not prevent conception. I don't know who told you this but they are wrong. You take provera to bring on your period if you have irregular periods and you fail to menstrate. I have pcos so I have had to take it to bring on my period. The dosage you took would do nothing to you, it might cause your period to start early. I doubt it, you normally have to take it for 10 days to get your period. I would recommend trying a condom or birth control pills. You can't expect to abort a baby everytime you "forgot" to use a condom. Grow up....
