Vasectomy And Pregnancy Question Posted: 12-08-05 13:13pm
My fiancee had a vasectomy nine years ago.
In the procedure, a section of the vas
deferens was removed and the ends capped
with metal. We plan on having the
vasectomy reversed after we get married.
But i'm wondering if there is any change
of pregnancy now? We wouldn't mind a
miracle baby. Has anyone had pregnancy
experience with this same situation?

For my sake, I sure as heck hope not.
But there is a reason they call it
"permanent." it sounds like your fiancee
had a good old slash and burn -- usually
the most effective kind -- he must have
pretty well intended for it to work.
Have you considered what you will do if
the reversal doesn't work? The success
rate is not brilliant, especially in those
case where a piece is removed.

We haven't talked specifically if the
reversal doesn't work... I refuse to
adopt. But we both want kids together.
I'm not sure on the statistics of
effectiveness of the reversal or what
other options we have. Is invetro one?
