I am new on these boards and absolutley in
hell at the moment with my attacks... Can
have a fairly reasonable day but am mostly
in a constant state of panic, finding it
very difficult to work and sometimes to
even go to the shops. I am so scared of
losing my job because of going off sick or
not working a full day, which doesn't
help. Can anyone tell me how they cope
with working when suffering from this? I
just can't take much more...

What do you do for a job? Are you busy
doing things or do you have job where you
sit in the same place a lot? I know for
some people if they're really busy it
keeps thier mind off of the bad thoughts.
I actually quit my job a while back
because I was in the same boat, but now I
have all this time on my hands and it has
made it much worse. When I quit I didn't
really know I had the anxiety so I wasn't
on meds or anything. I think if I had
meds now I would be able to go back, so
maybe you need a prescription to get you
back on track. I have always been afraid
to take meds, but I started to take them
very recently and for the most part they
do help. If it's too much work that's
causing the anxiety, maybe you need a good
vacation with friends or something fun to
do for a while.
