Please Help -- I Know I Being Neurotic Here But... Posted: 12-09-05 04:12am
Okay, this may seem a little neurotic, but
i'm just wondering if my girlfriend
touched my penis with pre-cum on it (mind
you not a lot)--and i'm not sure if she
even touched the pre-cum--then ,afterward,
rubbed her hands over my sweater while we
embraced in a kiss, then put her panties
back on without touching her vagina, could
she still get pregnant if somehow some
lone sperm cell made it from her hands
onto her panties and into her vagina?
Mind you at the time (two days ago) she
had just finished the last hormonal pill
of ortho tri-cyclen (she's been on the
pill for almost a month now) and today she
had her period. Sorry if i'm being
neurotic here :( . I just want to make
sure my girl is safe.

Not likely. If she is indeed on the pill
in order for her to get pregnant her pills
would have to fail, and you would have to
have intercourse. Pre ejaculate does
contain sperm, so even if you use the pull
out method there is still a chance for
fertilization if the egg is in place. By
what you have described here there isn't a
chance for her to be pregnant. If there
were any sperm at all on her hands they
most likely were already dead. They
cannot live outside the body for very
long.
If both of you are not up to raising a
child anytime soon, then I would suggest
also using a condom for extra protection
on top of the pill she is already taking.
If condoms are not an option for you then
use spermicidal creams.
There are some things that can interfere
with the effectiveness of the pill,
causing it to fail, such as antibiotics.
If you choose to continue having sex then
please keep in mind pregnancy is always a
possibility, and prepare yourselves for
that possibility. If a pregnancy does
happen be prepared, and be responsible
about it.

Thanks For the Response Posted: 12-09-05 14:18pm
Thanks for the quick repsonse. No, we
haven't had sex yet--we're not ready to
take that step yet--but we have played
around. Just wanted to make sure we were
safe, though, when we were "playing
around." and yes, I agree with your
advice. When we do finally have sex and
are ready, i'll be sure to use condoms
just in case the pill does fail. Never
hurts to be safe thank you again. You put
my mind at ease.
