Depersonalization
Posted: 12-09-05 12:28pm

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to feel more connected to people and decrease this intense feeling of unreality I am having. It's like my normal emotions are frozen, and i've had soo much anxiety about every part of my life for sooo long that i"ve just blocked everything out. It's like I forgot what it's like to feel happy...Any help or just if you can relate would be wicked...Lata

I'm in the same situation as you,
i always wonder what it is like to feel normal like I used to,
i just feel kind of emotionless now,
all I have is anxiety, I can't imagine how I used to feel.

You Can Be Well Again

Hi

i`ve had this for months but there is a way to get over this and its really easy, maybe not at first but it will go away. The best advice I got on here was stop focusing on it. This is massive if you want to get rid of this feeling.

If you think about it if I say to you you have a sore toe your mind automatically starts focusing on the pain in your toe. Take the conciousness out of it and its solved. It`s exactly the same thing.
Fill your day with anything that keeps your mind occupied, do crosswords, read books, go out and enjoy life, stop being an outsider of your on life and start living it.

I know exactly what you are feeling as I have this most days but its the anxiety and the conciousness that keeps it all going. It is hard to do and I have my moments when I feel down and teary but you have to pick yourself up and face life head on. If you don`t you`ll feel the same for a long time.

I have made great progress and you can to, there are many anxiety solutions but the one that does work the best is ignore it.

Message me if you need any more help
