Q: Cramps

I had my period about a week ago on the 30th of nov. And my husband and I have been trying to have a baby I noticed today that I have severe cramps almost like menstral cramps what could this mean. I read something about implantation but I havent noticed bleeding yet.
Does implantation mean your pregnant or what. I am so confused
