I had my gb removed in march due to
cholesterol polyps and inflammation. The
symptoms I was experiencing were nausea,
pain under right rib cage and between
shoulder blades, bloating, gas and bad
heartburn. My Dr. Explained to me that
cholesteral polyps are like little stones
and tissue stuck to the wall of the
gallbladder and said that either way I
would eventually had to have the gb
removed because of inflammation. Alot of
the times with polyps Dr.S don't like to
remove the gb unless there are symptoms or
the polyps are a certain size. They
usually leave the gb intact and do
ultrasounds every few years to make sure
they are not growing in size.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I had been telling him for a year to
go to the Dr. He was so bloated, lookes
like 9 mos pregnant. Not fat anywhere on
his body--just very distended abdomen.
He started haveing a lot of pains--i dont
know where. So sick it was hard to go to
work.
They thought when they did u/s that it was
stones. Just removed it on the 29th and
they said it was polyps instead of stones.
They said it would def turn into stones
if left untreated, and he had inflamation
I believe.
So I guess it was a good thing. He says
he feels better. Getting smaller
already.
Thanks for info.

Glad the surgery has helped your son. He
will feel bloated for a while if he had
keyhole surgery, as they pump your stomach
with carbon dioxide. This is absorbed
back into the body over 2-4 weeks &
the abdomen will go back to normal.

Yeah, I think so. But I needed
confirmation that it was the right thing
to take his out. The .Dr confirmed all
the suffering he has been going thru would
have been from the polyps. I hate it
when they take thing out.
I still have everything at 44 except
uterus and 1 fallopian tube.
He had his appendix out at 15 and now 24
his gall bladder--i wonder if they could
be related??
His appendix did rupture though and all
the poisen got into his body.
