I'm 34weeks And 4 Days Pregnant. I Really Need Help!!!! Posted: 12-10-05 02:46am
I have been having little problems here
and there sense I was about 27 weeks
pregnant. I have yes been through a lot
of stress sense I got pregnant. My
husband is on deployment and I lived in
biloxi-gulfport, mississippi. That where
hurricane katrina hit. So yea stress I
have had a little bit of that you can say.
My question is, sense I was about 32
weeks I started discharging mucus. Never
had this problem with my first 2
pregnacies. The mucus I know is normal I
have been hearing that a lot but this
mucus is different, no smell of course but
very thick you could cut it with a knife
and acually have to work at cutting it.
Thats how thick this is. It never had
any blood in it until about a week in a
half ago. I started spotting of course I
went to the birthing unit they said I was
having some contraction but sent me home
b/c I wasn't dilileted. Understanable
right well sense then I stop spotting two
days after that. Went to the doctor and
he said that I was almost dilated 1 cm and
I was about 80% afaced. What I don't
understand is every sense I started this
discharged I have been having contractions
so what possibly do you think the mucus is
the birthing unit said I didn't lose my
plug the other night either. Then when I
went to the doctor thursday he said he
thought I might have lost my plug. The
other question is if I did lose it about
how long do I possibly have before I
should go into labor he also put me on bed
rest. What is your opinion? Cuz i'm a
little worried. Should I be?

Its a form of prelabor and prelabor can
last for weeks/days etc......
Most of prelabor usually starts around 32
weeks so you still have a few to go dont
worry and maybe if your lucky you will get
to see ur bundle of joy earlier..........
