Psa 11 And No Identifiable Cancer
Posted: 12-10-05 21:00pm

In 1994 I had radiotherapy for prostate cancer. Psa went down to 1.9 and started to rise slowly. Have had biopsys done 5 times in the last 7 years and all have been negative. Also have had petscans and bone scans and all have been negative. Psa is rising more rapidly now and is 11. Had exhaustive biopsy of the prostrate with 26 fragments taken all negative. Had a new petscan which was also negative. Took antibiotics for 4 weeks and the psa remained 11 so no prostatitus. My doctor does not know what to do. Should I take casodex for 30 days to see if the psa goes down. If the casodex makes the psa go down does that mean that I have some metastisis of the cancer or does it mean that casodex interfered with the psa. What should I do? I am very worried.
