Pills Not Taken At Same Time, Help?!
Posted: 12-11-05 13:45pm

Ok i'm really bad at doing this "take the pill at the same time" thing. So i'm on yasmin and i've missed taking it at the same time thrice now. However, I do end up taking them within 2-3 hours because I suddenly remember. Since today is the third one that I missed the time....This time i'm taking it 3 hours later, i'm wondering if i'm at serious risk. Do I need to throw away this pack and start a whole new one? Or can I just finish this one? Oh, this is my first pack of pills. I've never taken them before. Also, i'm not having sex right now because my boyfriend is away and will only be back in a week. Should I worry? Its only a couple of hours..I figure since I didnt miss a whole day, maybe its not that big a deal? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay, yasmin like other combination contraceptive pills are not as "time sensitive" as the "mini pill" (progestin only must be taken within 30 minutes) so taking it within 3 hours is definately okay.

I take my yasmin within the same 5 hours ever day. (between 5-7am m-f and between 8-11 on weekends) and I never have protected sex...I've been on yasmin for almost 8 months and have very few complaints about the pill.
