Wake Up With Pain In Ribs And Back Posted: 12-12-05 00:11am
I'm 22 years old, and wake up in terrible
pain in my ribs and back. It hurts in
inhale or move. When I get up, it goes
away in about 10 mins after I walk around.
I was sleeping on an old mattress, and
got a new one - it still happens! Now,
my neck is aching and shoulders feel
tight.
What could this be? Could it be more
serious that uncomfortable sleep
positions? What can I try to eleviate
the pain?
I'm not sure if this matters, but I had my
gallbladder out 2 years ago. I really do
not suffer from any normal side effects -
I can eat mostly anything, with the
exception of mcdonalds, without trouble.
Please offer any advice! Thanks

Christie,
have you tried a tempu-pedic mattress, I
understand they are great. I'm saving
now to buy one, they are very pricey.
Sounds like you could have some disc
trouble in your thorasic spine, could be a
couple trips to a chiropracter could fix.
I would see a doctor about it and if they
suggest some imaging studies definitely
get them, pain is your body saying
"something is wrong here". Good luck
