Negative Hpt And Still No Period Posted: 12-12-05 09:03am
Well I finally got the nerve to take a
test this morning and it was negative.
:( I could cry. My period is three
days late and I dont even feel like its
going to come. I hope I just took the
test too early. I took the generic
version of ept. It said that you can
take the test as early as the first day of
your missed period. Does that mean you
should wait till you totally miss your
period and then test? I am in day three
of being late. I have a doctors
appointment tomarro. Maybe they will do
a blood test. I know they will do a
urine test but I think its about the same
as the one I just took. I really hope I
am pregnant. Its going to be a sad
aniversery tomarro if I am not.

Hi kansas - I hope you are!!!! Did the
doc do a blood test? I was going to tell
you that a number of my friends (and the
ladies who write on this forum) have said
they got a negative on their first one - I
did too (even my second) but I did my
first 4 days before my period was due and
then I did it 5 days after it was due.
However, my friend who is pregnant, said
if you have low hcg hormone, it may not
show until 1 week after your missed period
(maybe even longer, but usually 7 days).
Also, she told me not to use the cheap
immitation tests - she said the best one
to use is the ept that says 'pregant' or
'not pregnant' - I don't know if that
really matters, but that is what I bought
this time, and i'm going to wait until 14
days of missing my period (assuming that I
have missed it until then).
