Question About Bbt Charting?
Posted: 12-15-05 10:40am

Ok if I ever have my af this month I want to start charting my bbt to see if infact I am ovulating. Can I use a regular digital thermometer or should I go and find a thermometer that is designed for bbt?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

God bless all!

You really need to have a thermometer that has two places after the decimal. Your temps will change tenths of a degree and you need to be able to recognize this. You can find actual ovulation thermometers at the drug store, they are only about $5 to $7.

Good luck and good charting!

Thanks! I think this will help me find out why I have been so irregular since I went off of bc back in feb.

I was on bc for 9 years, should that effect my fertility?

I just got back from walmart, I spoke to the pharmacist and they stopped carrying bbt thermometers a little while ago. He said he thinks it is all walmart stores (at least here in ga)

i guess I will try cvs or walgreens later today.

To all who are ttc I hope you get your christmas wish

Well, I just got mine a couple of months ago at walmart... It is a vicks brand called ovitrack... I just found it in the thermometer section. I'm sure they would have some. Any thermometer with two decimal places after the . Will work fine.

This really will let you know if you are ovulating or not. I would be more than happy to help you if you need further assistance.
