I Have So Many Questions But This One Is Pretty Important... Posted: 12-17-05 18:02pm
If you want to get emancipated do you have
to have a parent signature? Or not? Even
if you are pregnant or not?

In a few states being pregnant
automatically means you are emancipated.
You do not need parental consent in any
state to get prenatal care and services,
but you will need some type of healthcare
coverage.

The point of emancipation is like

Emacipation is declaring someone a legal
adult. When you get pregnant you are
actually not technically emancipated.
When you are pregnant you get emancipated
for medical bills not moving out on your
own and being declared a legal adult. If
you want to divorce your parents and
become a legal adult you have to file a
claim with the court and then prove to the
judge why you want to become emancipated
and yes your parents will be there and
they need to sign the form. I was going
to get emancipated but decided not to
because my mom let me move out on my own
with my boyfriend.
