What is the youngest age a male can receive a vasectomy? Does the chance of infection or infertility increase the younger they receive the operation or vice versa? By this I mean, I know the operation is reversible in older males is that the same for younger males.

The operation is very very difficult to reverse, only about a 35% chance it can be reversed. It just depends honestly. Any male can get a vasectomy thorugh planned parenthood, no matter how old you are. Infection is always a risk in any surgery, but special measures are taken to ensure infection does not happen. Let's just say when you get a vasectomy, don't expect reversal.

Not all drs will do them at any age. I know where I live no dr will even think about performing that kind of surgery unless the guy is over the age of 18 and sometimes not even then. It's kind of like when a woman wants to get her tubes tied if you're younger drs won't do them. A friend of mine wanted to get hers tied she's 23 and has 3 kids but her dr won't perform it cause he think she's too young. You may want to do some research on them and find out what the rules are where you live.
