Miscarriage Or Not???please Reply Posted: 12-18-05 16:31pm
A few months ago I went to the er because
I thought I was having a miscarriage. I
had most signs and symptoms of pregnancy
and the miscarriage. I felt nautious all
the time, took 3 home pregnancy tests (all
positive), vomiting, sensitive to certain
foods, abdomen enlarged, a little weight
gain, and no period for about 2 months.
And with the miscarriage, I had really bad
pain. Blood clots were passing like
crazy and were huge. The pain was so
bad, I thought I was going to die.
Even the doctors thought I was
miscarrying. They put an iv in me from
all the blood loss and all. They drew
blood and when they came back to tell me
my results, my mother pulled the doctor
outside for a while and I still have no
idea what she said. When the doctor came
in she told me I wasnt preganant, but a
few days later she still gave me an
appointment to have a sonogram done and
earlier when I thought I was miscarrying
she mentiones that they would have to do
that if I had miscarried to make sure all
tissues and etc had gotten out.
Well anyway... It was really weird to
me. I had all the signs of everything
and come to find out I wasnt really
pregnant and didnt really have a
miscarriage. Its still a big mystery to
me.
I was a minor so could my mother had
said something to keep the doctor from
telling me the truth???? Could it be
possible that I really had a
miscarriage????

If you took 3 tests and they all cam eout
positive, then you were indeed pregnant.
It does sound to me like you had a
miscarriage.
I don't know how old oyu are but up here
after 14 yrs old, you're parents have no
right to know your medical business.
Have you had your period since?? And did
they clean oyu out after or anything?
That sounds a little fishy to me......
They are suppose to excuse your mother out
of the room to speak with you privately,
not the other way around!
If you did have positive results from a
hpt then you were pregnant!
It makes me mad reading this....... You
need to look into this further....... If
they have wronged you, you need to know!

I was 17 years old, just turned 18. I
think it sounds fishy to me too. They
didnt clean me out though, they had did a
sonogram I guess to see if everything came
out ok.
My mom is known for hiding things from me.
I want to ask her, but I dont know how to
approah her. I talk to her about a lot
things but I feel uncomfortable talking to
her about things like that....But its
always bothered me!
Anytime you go to the er don't they send a
report to your family doctor?
If you don't want to talk to your mother
about this, you should talk to your
doctor. They have to give you
answers...... Demand to see the results,
don't let them treat you like a baby!
Let us know what happens.....

Yea sounds like u were pregnant and u had
a miscarriage.
Dont u have to be 18 to make your own
decisions and if u under 18 parent has the
right to make decisions. But think the
child should know what is going on.

Sounds fishy to me also. What did u find
out?? My symptoms are similar except I
had no nausia and had my periods. I've
been gaining weight for about 2 mos. Tho
and when I took hpts, they came out neg.
I'm curious to find out what u found out
in case i'm going thru a miscarrage. I'd
appreciate the feedback.
