It sounds ridiculous. My grandmother
used to tell me that chewing on ice would
cause diabetes. Also ridiculous.

Actually, chewing on ice could be a result
of anemia. It could be a condition
called pica. It's really strange.
People crave odd things - like ice, dirt,
dust, etc.

I am a anemic. I was diagnoised a couple
of weeks ago. Before I was diagniosed I
craved ice chips. People around me said
that I was anemic because this is one of
the side effects. I am now on slow fe
iron replacement. I still have to have my
ice!!
