Q: Are Home Pregnancy Test Always Accurate?

I just came back from a doctor's appointment. I have missed my period for three months now, but the home pregnancy test came up negative. My doctor refused to give me a blood test saying that if the home pregnancy tests are negative then there is no possible way i'm pregnant. Instead she keeps telling me it's polycystic ovarian disease or a thyroid disease. However, i'm not showing any symptoms for those diseases. My doctor wants me to go on birth control to induce a period. Other doctors are telling me to wait for another month to take a blood test before going on birth control. Is it actually possible for me to be pregnant and not get a positive on a home pregnancy test? And how accurate are blood tests?

Well I missed 1period and I was curious so I got a home preg test and it was positive. I went docs and got one done there also and I was possitive. Ihavnt done a blood test one. I used clear blue which is 99.9% accurate and reccommended but docs think it says but I done a docs one also which turned out same result.

I wanna be pregnant again but gonna let my body get back to how it was before we try again

I was 8 days late with my period so this past friday we took 3 home pregnancy tests. The first was positive, the second was negative and the 3rd was positive. Blood test on sunday was negative.

My doctor just called to confirm that I am pregnant, but I am showing very low hcg levels. Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks. I'm 23. How old are you? Do you have any children or pregnant?I am going back to the doctor's office next week to see if the hcg levels are going up. I hope everything is going to be ok.

Im 18 and no I dont have any kids I did get pregnant 6 months ago but it sadly ended in a ectopic pregnancy

Hey trishabunny! Sorry for the late reply I been busy with the holidays. Anyways, i'm so sorry to hear about your etopic pregnancy. My hcg levels are apparently very low-6 and they are worried that it might also be an etopic pregnancy or not even pregnant at all. I hate for you to relive it, but I am curious to know what the signs/symptoms of etopic pregnancy are exactly.

Hello

Signs of ectopic pregnancy are

one sided pain
hurts to go to the washroom
shooting pains
heavy period (i had mine for 2 months)

there is a lot of other signs and syptoms but im just telling you the ones
that I had.But you still get all the other symptoms of pregnancy
like

breaking out
food cravings
constipation
sore breasts
fatique
naucous

I am now almost 10 weeks preg but I took two home tests to find out and the other people I know who took them said they worked too, but I still went to the doctors right away.

Pregnacy

I haven' t had my period for almost a month took 5 home pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. I've been burping and have heartburn like crazy. I don't go to the doctor until next week.
What do you all think?
