Pregnancy During Menstruation? Posted: 12-23-05 05:27am
Hello,
is it possible to still be pregnant while
menstruating?
Period last month lasted for only 3 days.
Very abnormal for me. It's never been
that short before. This month I have
felt pregnant, but it seems that I have
started period once again. Not quite
sure what might be going on.
What would a period lasting for only 3
days mean? It was a normal period,
fairly heavy and all for about 2 days then
it slowed and eventually stopped. I am
not on any type of birth control or
medication. Nothing that would cause
period to be abnormal.
As said, I felt pregnant this past month.
Early symptoms. And my abdomen has
grown slightly larger. But have just
started what seems to be another period so
i'm not sure what any of this could be.
Also, have felt this fluttery, lightly
tense feeling in my slightly larger
abdomen. Would that at all be related to
anything else?
Answers to these questions would be
appreciated.
Tried to ask a doctor on here, but there
seems to be a bug in the system.

Could someone please answer my question?
Or does it usually take a certain amount
of time for a question to be answered?
Not sure since i'm new to this place.
Thanks.

Well..I'm going through the same thing. My
periods aren't the same either.I know that
you can have what appears to be a period
during a normal healthy pregnancy. No woman
is the same.Everyone is different.A doctor
told me that even with implantation
bleeding. It can be heavy..I thought it
could only be light. She said it varies
from woman to woman. So the best way to
know is to have a doctor confirm it.There
are actually more false negatives with hpt
than false positives.

I bled or spotted the whole pregnancy with
elisa and trust me I freaked right out but
every pregnancy is different as well as
every woman.
Get a blood test done and what I was told
at the hospital with elisa is as long as I
wasnt hemoragging or bleeding alot
accompanied by severe cramping then I
could just stay at home. As for
pregnancy #2 I bled abit in the 5&6
month because of a complication and was
placed on bedrest but im fine now..
Its extremely possible to have both just
try not to panic I think I drove the drs
nuts at triage cause I kept going in if
the blood got darker or thicker etc I was
just a worry wart...
Take care

I had a two day period this month and I
swear I feel pregnant, headaches,
moodiness, tiredness, gurgly stomach,
bloated, and swollen fingers and toes. I
took a test twice and it came back
negative. I cannot wait until next month
the wait is killing me. Let me know if
you ever found out if you are pregnant. I
don't mind if I am but the wait is killing
me. Hang in there.
