Hi ashley,
well there is no certain age that you have to be to have pcos. I'm going on 22 and I was only diagnosed last year but in hindsight I may have had this since I started getting my period. From what i've been told, at your age since you may not be necessarily ready to have children as yet, you should have your dr put you on bcp in order to regulate your periods after you do all the proper testings. But my dr also told me that bcp is just basically a bandaid on the situation because that doesn't cure you of the disease. I've been off of bcp since oct of last year in an attempt to get pregnant b/c my dr said that that would be a long journey for me and still no success.
