Well I jst found out a cuple of weeks ago that im expecting. I am not 6 weeks gone. Ive been to the doctors twice and told my bf and hes very supportive even tho hes still at school. I havent told my parents yet but will do wen I pluck up the courage. I know im going to keep the baby but im so scared when the baby comes. Im only 16 and wanted 2 go 2 college and study childcare. It was only a small mistake that happened as I was on the pill. Im jst so scared and need some major advice please. Help

Hi, I was 16 too when I got pregnant, im 17 now and 7 months gone. Its good your boyfriend is committed to this, as long as you have someone supporting you, you'll be okay. I was really scared to tell my parents aswell, hope that goes well. Goodluck

Um I dont think you would want to know. And I dont want to scare you even more about it, your parents may react totally different to how mine did. Honestly though, I didnt tell them face to face, I made a phone call...And im glad I did it that way. Sometimes the person you think will react the worse, actually surprises you. I would say talk it through with your boyfriend, decide which way you think is best to tell your parents...There's different ways you could do it, all depends on how you think they will take the news.

Yh I guess my bf sed hell tell his mum wen the times right. I mean hes got the easy job as she cant really critisice him as she had him at 17 so shes a young mum. Whereas my parents r older n my dads really old fashioned. If I werent so scared of my dad I wuda told my mum straighy away. I guess I ave 2 find the right place and moment aswell. Wish me gd luck (scared)

Have Faith
Posted: 12-27-05 20:20pm

Hey gurl. I know its going to be hard....But my best friend was pregnanate @ 16. She lived a very "picture pefect life" her parents cared more about their name then their kids. Well when she became pregnanate her parents didnt handle it well because of school situations and her college dreams. Well mary took it upon herself *with an unsupportive "sperm doner" and had her baby and still managed to go to school & college while living with only her and her child. She believed in herself..And she did it. She finished highschool... Shes currently in her last year of college living with her son..And working. Its hard..But you will gain alot of things gurls your age wont have...Respect...Stregth..And faith!!! You can do it if you want to! Just have faith..And remeber god doesnt give you anything you cant handle!!!

Hey gurl I told my mom first because I knew she would understand the most, then I told one of my sisters and they told my other sisters and then they told my dad(the one I was scared of). He was upset, but I left him alone for a couple of days and then I went to talk to him about it,and now he is helping me shop for baby stuff and telling me about how much fun its going to be when the baby comes. So just telll them and give them some time to get over the shock, they will eventually come around and everything will be ok.

That's good your parents are taking it so well. Don't you have to be 18 to get a council flat/house?

I know how u feel I was really scared how my parents would react so I did it over the fone. It was much easier. I was surprised how they reacted. I thought theyd go mad but they were really supportive. The thing evry1 was sayin was that I had 2 tell them sooner or l8r wich made things even scarier. Do it in ur own time and I hope things go well for u isabel. There r loads of pple on ere who give loads of support. Pm me some time if u want to talk
good luck and best wishes xxx
