Back Pain, Small Rash, Sensitive Skin, And Gas Posted: 12-20-03 02:15am
Hello,
for the last three days I have had mid
back pain that comes and then goes away
when I burb or... Break wind. The skin
on my left side is very sensitive to touch
and today I found what looks to be a small
rash on my back right below the left
shoulder blade. It seems that the back
pain starts in the same area as the rash.
Has anyone had this before? Do the
symptoms ring any bells? I've searched
the net for the last few hours but haven't
come up with much.
Any opinions would be much appreciated.

Ok so for those of you that may have the
same symptoms and the same questions I
had. I went to the doctor this morning
and it turns out I have shingles. Sure
enough all the symptoms i've found for
singles match what was happening. The
doctor prescribed valtrex (500mg), but
unfortunately it may not work for me
because I waited too long to go to the
doctor. Valtrex should be started within
48 hours of the rash appearing, so don't
delay going to your doctor if you think
you may have shingles!
