Iv Therapy Anyone? Posted: 12-26-05 22:23pm
I was diagnosed with lupus sle on may 11,
2005. What a shock! I was training to
do a triatholon and all of a sudden I felt
like someone beat me up over
night......They put me on
hydroxychloroquine and it worked but then
gave me side effects like hair loss and
mood swings so they changed my meds to
methotrexate. Anyone taking that? It
kind of works.....I started losing hair
again. Now the doctor wants to try iv
therapy. Does anyone know what kind of
meds it is? He had also mentioned
cellcept. Not sure which one I should go
for first. If I do decide on the iv
therapy.....How often would they have me
going in? How long does it take? Any
side effects? Can't wait to hear from
you all! Gena
