Switching From Ortho Lo to Estrostep
Posted: 12-26-05 23:14pm

I had alot of problems recently with ortho tri cyclen lo so my doctor switched me to estrostep. I'm 8 days late with my period, but I spotted for 5 days when I should have had my period. Is this normal?

Many women have light periods while on the pill, it is considered a benefit for some. If you are 8 days late, a home pregnancy test will be accurate. I would imagine though that your periods lightness is due to the pill.

Thanks for your reply. I took 2 hpt's and they were both negative. When I started on ortho lo 2 years ago I noticed a lighter flow. But this is drastic! Hopefully it will go back to normal soon.

New Stuff Going On

I'm due for my next period next sunday. Friday I noticed a little bleeding and saturday I noticed some spotting. Yesterday and today my boobs hurt and my bras are to small. I havent taken another hpt yet, I was waiting to see if I get my period on sunday or not. I usually don't get the whole boob thing going on with pms. I usually don't have pms at all. With the bc switch could it be that I really am pregnant and the hpt's are not showing anything?
