Pregnancy Forum - a Question I Need Advice On.....

Hi guys I am 10 weeks pregnant and I am finding it sore to open my bowels. As most of you know its common..... I have slight constipation and when im pushing its hurting on the right and left side of my abdomen.

I could imagine I would be in slight discomfort but is it normal to have these pains?

p.S I have never ever been constipated before

Yup! It's normal. This is the glamorous side of pregnancy! The first time that happened to me I was scared to death. Found out it's to be expected though. Constipation and diarrhea are normal too. Depending on what day of the week it is I have either one. The pains get a better though. I don't have them every time I go to the bathroom now
