Alternative Treatment of Depression -- Interested?
Posted: 12-29-05 10:57am

Hi -- I am interested in finding out about everyone's level of interest in natural (non-medical) depression treatment. I recovered from depression used natural remedies, and am thinking about writing an e-book to share all the information I collected. I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to share your level of knowledge and interest (before I spend a lot of time doing something nobody but me really cares about!). Here's the link:

i'm also working on a blog on the same topic (http://alternativedepressiontreatment.Blo gspot.Com), and I would appreciate feedback to know if it's at all helpful.

Thanks for letting me know!

I know it's a little late but i did your survey. natural treatment sounds like a great idea. i took drugs for so long that the last thing i want to do is not feel like myself.

I have my own opinion on how to treat depression and i dont think it is through medication or herbal remedies. depression is natures way of telling us somethin is wrong just how phsical pain is the way of the body telling us something is wrong. when something is wrong with the body you use medication or herbal remedy but with depression it is not a pysical ailment neither do I believe it to be a mental illness... depression is the pain, not the cause of pain, we do not treat the pain when we cut our hand, we treat the cut and the pain stops. Therefre treat the caus of depression and the pain stops. Counselors have their place but they are limited.

It is a a fact of todays society that depression is now the leading illness of our time out stripping back pain. It is also effecting more the younger generation's. Is the route cause of depression for many people an illness in society?

Drugs and herbal remedies may help to eliviate the pain but the cancer is merely sreading.

You are very right. Meds only numb the pain but after you stop the meds the pain is likely to still be there. You need to confront the issue, accept it, forgive it, you'll never forget ot, but you'll move forward.
I saw a psychologist myself and she helped me immensly.

I believe you are on to something. I think diet is a huge part of dealing with depression. I've been taking this supplement called StudyPIL. It's all natural and made up of some of the best herbs, nutrients, and minerals from around the world. I take this every morning and my depression and anxiety seem to float away. After seeing the effects that natural foods could do, I try to eat as many uncooked fruits and vegetables in to my diet as possible. This will help you feel a lot more happier and you will lose a ton of weight in the process!
