For some reason my mom really gets on my
nerves. She does normal things that
anyone else would do, and I just get so
frustrated I want to punch her. I know
that teenagers go through a w/e u wanna
call it phrase, but this is seriously out
of control. Even her voice or just her
eating, and its only her, not my dad. My
family gets mad at me but I really cant
help it. When I later think about it I
feel really ashamed that I got so mad over
nothing, but then it happens again and I
dont know why. Also when I am
concentrating on something, like say i'm
reading in the car, and the car keys make
a really small noise or a bag keeps moving
I go insane and I have to amke it shutup.
I mean I actually start throwing stuff I
get so mad. My family says its just
because im spoiled, but I really think
something wrong with me. I just get so
frustrated at the littlest things and I
really want to stop. Ive had this since I
was little (like around 7) it might have
something to do with my parents getting
divorced and a bunch of stuff happening
but I dont know how that would tie in.
Can someone tell me what this is and what
I can do about it?

Hi there,
my name is dr gerald. Perhaps I can offer
some advice.
Everybody has a tendency. Some have a
tendency to get a headache, some are prone
to skin allergy. For you, your tendency
is to get angry and frustrated. This is
partially determined by your genes and
partially by environment.
All tendencies can be reduced or
aggravated. Medication should be used as
a last resort as there are issues of
addiction and side effects. Rather you
should focus on changing your lifestyle
and environment first.
Do the simple things first. The simplest
way to stay one step ahead of feeling
angry, is to avoid consuming brain
stimulants. If you are drinking coke,
pepsi, tea or coffee which contain
caffeine a brain stimulant, then stop
drinking those beverages totally. If you
are smoking, stop your cigarettes. These
will stimulate your tendency to think of
upsetting thoughts and to get angry.
Next remove unnecessary stressors in your
life that tips you towards anger. Mild
dehydration causes stress to the body and
mind. Many people do not know this. So
make sure you drink 3 litres of plain
water a day (few mouthfuls every half
hour) to remove this unnecessary
dehydration stress. Get 8 hours of sleep
a night to remove stress caused by lack of
sleep. That is a priority. By the way,
brain stimulants like caffeine and
cigarettes affect sleep. So avoid brain
stimulants totally.
Try the above simple steps for at least a
month to see if there is any improvement.
There are other steps to take which may
need more time and effort.
If you are willing, I can try to walk you
through this.

Thank u helped me so much! I actually
dont even ddrink water I only drink diet
pepsis or drpeppers and I have had a lot
of trouble getting to sleep (probably
because of the sodas). I sometimes only
get 5 hours of sleep a night but my mom
wont buy me any sleeping pills because the
doctor said it wasnt good for me. The
only thing I need now is tips on how to
sleep.

Glad to be of help. :d
sleep will return to you once you stop all
the sodas, diet pepsis, dr peppers.
There are 3 basic rules to sleeping with
regards to your sleeping environment.
Your sleeping environment has to be 1.
Dark, 2. Quiet and 3. At a comfortable
temperature.
So if a person watches television or plays
computer games late into the night, the
lights and sounds will definitely keep him
or her awake.

Hi there
my name is dr gerald tan. I specialise in
lifestyle and environment modification for
treatment of diseases.
I have just read about your condition.
You are right when you said that your diet
affects your condition. Continue your
healthy diet.
Just to add a few more pointers. If you
are drinking coffee or tea (both contains
caffeine), stop these beverages totally.
Also make sure you drink enough water
(minimum 2.5 to 3 litres of water).
Caffeine causes one to pass a lot of
urine, causing dehydration. Not drinking
enough water also causes dehydration.
Dehydration can trigger or worsen your
problems. Caffeine also increases stomach
acidity and may also increase your
appetite for unhealthy food.
Your trigger finger is a result of over
use of your fingers. Give it a rest.
Overuse of finger include carrying heavy
loads or repetitive actions like typing,
kneading, sewing, ironing for more than an
hour continuously. Learn to take short
one minute break for every 15 minutes of
hand work .
Your sole pain is due to prolonged
standing or walking. Also take a short
minute break for every 15 minutes of
standing or walking. Make sure you wear
comfortable shoes too.
If you wish, I can walk you through your
condition.

I just copied from a post I put on in
another section of this site.....I am also
starting to stop caffeine now, and drink
more water. But, if this is stress, my
big thing is trying to figure out what...I
was thinking of journaling and maybe it
would come out in there...Eventually?
I have been having the same symptoms, but
thought it was lightheadness first and was
going to pass out. Then had numbness in
elbows to hands. Then I feel like its a
heart attack because I get so nervous.
Have been to er and nothing. They thought
it was ear infection. I have anxiety now,
just because of these feelings. Please
help. Kim
i am on an event monitor now. The monitor
will record when I push it, and I am
suppose to push it when I have an
"episode." my feelings were really light
headed at first and just really hard to
describe, thought I was then having a
heart attack because I think I had a panic
or anxiety attack. Then the last one
before chrsitmas was pain on the side of
my head and numbness in elbows to hands.
Then another panic attack - I think,
thought I was having a heart attack or
stroke after that. The doctor thought
they were stressed related anxiety or
panic, which could cause migranes which
migranes could cause stroke like symptoms.
Now, I fell like my chest is heavy. I
feel like I have anxiety because I am so
worried about these coming, now I worry
when i'm out or that I can't go out an
enjoy myself. I will be having an mri and
mra on wed., and i'm terrified, but I will
feel better knowing they can figure
something out I hope. If anyone else
feels any of these please reply. It's
helpful to read these, thanks. Kim

Dear kim
if all the hospital investigation results
are negative, then you could be prone to
anxiety which can give similar symptoms.
To reduce anxiety attacks, caffeine should
be totally avoided, not even one cup a
day.
Caffeine is found in teas, coffee, and
colas etc. Caffeine can stimulate your
brain to cause anxiety as well. Avoid
other people's cigarette smoke. I presume
you do not smoke yourself. Cigarette
smoke may stimulate anxiety as well.
Dehydration, & lack of sleep as
mentioned before are unnecessary forms of
stress that worsens anxiety too
imagine yourself as a marathon runner.
You have a marathon to run, the marathon
is necesary, you don't have a choice. But
you can hydrate yourself and get
sufficient sleep, so that you can run your
race feeling fit and without problems.
Life is a marathon. Job stress, family
stress cannot be wished away. But with
hydration and enough sleep, you can tide
through whatever life throws at you.
To handle stress, focus on the finishing
line. Do not worry about things that have
little consequence.
Diet is important too. Go for unrefined
carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits and
limit meat intake. High sugar foods and
refined carbo tend to stimulate the mind
to think and worry a lot too.
Light exercise helps to release endorphins
to help the body relax. A walk in the
park daily will certainly help.
Health should be easy and fuss free. Hope
the above advice helps.
