Before You Decide On Abortion, Please Read This Posted: 12-20-03 23:54pm
Hello,
my name is joyce. I devote spare time to
talking with pregnant teens who need
someone to reach out to. I have spoken
with several pregnant teens who are
currently pregnant, raising their baby,
placed their baby for adoption, or aborted
the baby. I see views from all sides of
the situations. I myself was pregnant for
the first time at 16 years of age and
although I decided to keep my child, I can
understand those who are afraid or have no
one to support them. I would love to talk
with anyone who is thinking of abortion.
I can offer insights as to what I have
been told, and maybe I can help you in
some way. My email is
i do not mean to offend anyone on this
board, and I apologize if I have. God
bless you all and be with you.

This post was in no way offensive! I
think its wonderful to have women like you
helping out teens that are torn with the
decision! I myself would never have an
abortion, but I don't condemn those who do
either. It is a personal decision based
on your own beliefs and capabilities! My
mother had an abortion when she was 16
years old, she grew up in a catholic home
and her parents and my dad backed her into
having it done and now she regrets it.
The key term there is that she was backed
into it! When making a decision like
this, whether is be abortion, adoption,
keeping the child, weigh all the pros and
cons and don't let anyone make the
decision for you! Remember you have the
final say!

Thank god for people like you!! There are
too many people all too ready to impose
their own opinion onto other women seeking
an abortion and they forget it has nothing
to do with them

I think its a refreshing change to see
someone on this site who wants to help
those in need, rather than bashing them
with there own povs. If you read some of
the messages posted to people asking for
help you will see what I mean, most people
who use this forum seem to be
anti-abortion to the extreme and can not
give any practical advice at all.

First of all, let me comment also on how
great it is that you should want to help.
As for the post above......Ugh.....No
comment. You will see some posts where
negativity is enforced upon this subject
but that is usually because the person
making the post is doing this for all the
wrong reasons. I am not completely
against abortion, but I strongly believe
it should not be used as a form of birth
control. Likewise, if it was rape,
incest, there is something unfixably wrong
with the baby, or the mother is in danger,
I think an abortion would be quite
understandable. But even some girls on
here are victims of rape and are keeping
their babies. They are so great! But yes
I will say some of us get very heated on
this subject. And with good reason I must
say, it is a very touchy subject. But any
ways, welcome and we very much appreciate
what you are doing. The world needs more
people like you!
